Jay-Z-backed Hungry Marketplace expands into Boston

Hungry, the Arlington-based food technology startup that has drawn investments from celebrities such as Usher and Jay-Z, is expanding into Boston.
Hungry Marketplace Inc. operates an online catering service that connects businesses directly to chefs who sign on with the platform. The Virginia-based company started off in 2016 catering to offices in Washington, D.C. and has since established operations in Philadelphia and Atlanta.
Hungry will partner with Boston Chef Ming Tsai, the owner of the Blue Dragon restaurant and one of the company’s investors, who is acting as the company’s spokesman in Boston.
